GSQA 2026 BIENNIAL QUILT SHOW

**"JEWELS OF THE SOUTH "**

Date: June 26-27, 2026 Time: 10am - 5pm

Location: The Harbor Center, Slidell, Louisiana

The Gulf States Quilting Association proudly presents the 21st Biennial GSQA Quilt Show at The Harbor Center in Slidell, LA. The event begins with three days of quilt judging followed by the public showing from Friday, July 26 through Saturday, July 27.

Enjoy a myriad of beautiful quilts that will be displayed, with ribbons and prizes awarded to the winning quilts. Peruse the Merchants Mall that will include vendors from all over the US, including but not limited to scissor sharpening; sewing thread; fabric; woven baskets; etc. Also don't miss the chance to shop the Quilter's Craft Boutique with handmade creations by your fellow GSQA members.

Adult admission is $12 for one day and $15 for two day pass; admission for children under 12 is $5.

Rosebud Luncheon 2026

Our Rosebud Luncheon will again take place at the lovely Pinewood Plantation, a Country Club in Slidell, LA. The venue offers lots of parking close to a covered entrance.

Quilt Intake for the 2026 Quilt Show will be available before the Rosebud Luncheon from 9am – 12pm.

We will also have our Gift Basket Raffle once again! Preview Rosebud baskets for the gift basket raffle will be posted beginning in May 2026.

The individual blocks were made by many members of Gulf States Quilting Association, and the best were chosen by 2 of our Seminar teachers. Vernon Chee put the top together, Robben Hennessey Karr did the exquisite quilting, and the binding was attached by Carol Jaynes. The quilt is an original design by Donita Toups Qualey and her committee: Vernon, Judy Walker and Libby Black.

This is truly a magnificent work of art!
