Welcome from the President

Welcome to Gulf States Quilting Association, 2024. I am excited and honored to be president of this wonderful organization, which covers Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. As a member for at least 30 years, I can attest to wealth of knowledge I have gained from meetings, Seminar classes, Circuit Teachers, and many other activities hosted by GSQA. I invite you to join this fantastic group of artists and share your talents. If you are just beginning to quilt, you have come to the right place.

Our meetings are held in various cities throughout the region in January, April, July and October and we look forward to our mini weekend vacations. For those who are unable to be present in person, we provide Zoom. A few weeks before each meeting, the quarterly newsletter is emailed to all members, to keep everyone informed of what's happening, such as the Quilt Show, April, 2024.

I encourage you to participate, share, volunteer and become leaders of the quilters of tomorrow. This is a wonderful organization that I am so proud to be a member of.

Loretta Webre, 2024 GSQA President
